Koala Double-Sided Semi-Gloss Photo Paper, 48lb(180 gsm), 100 Sheets – Inkjet & Laser Compatible – Perfect for DIY Cake Toppers, Idol Cards & More

I run a small-scale print shop, and unlike other large-scale pro printers, I use an inkjet 8-color rather than a laser printer (which are industry standard and can print regardless of what side is coated). Double-sided inkjet paper with photo resolution capabilities is something that, typically, does *not exist*. When I saw this from Koala, I thought there was no sense in NOT trying it out.

It's fine. The finish is okay, I normally use a laminate anyways, but in terms of standard print projects, the paper raw might be nice for calendars. I would NOT call the paper "high resolution" by any means, it struggles to take any resolution over 300 dpi- which is a resolution *any* home printer can print. I typically try to aim for 500 dpi at least because I have a beast that can acurately print up to 2100 dpi, and im VERY GLAD i didn't go higher- the linework is already mildly blurry compared to the versions of the artist bookmarks I used to double-side by hand- not anything that would be noticable to the average consumer, but to a printer or a print quality snob, extremely clockable- even more so if what you're printing has extremely fine detail. If you're a pro printer doing gallery-quality art replications and you're printing something that does not HARD REQUIRE a double-sided capability on an inkjet printer, I would spring for another paper company. If you're a crafter or do cake toppers or something and have a regular-degular home printer, this is EXACTLY the kind of stuff you want.

I have both this and the Koala Double-Sided Matte Inkjet Photo Paper – 8.5x14" Legal Size, 48lb(180gsm), and in every way I can tell after printing on them both, they are EXACTLY the same. Texture, weight, feel, printer settings, I can find no differences.
